Heating repairs in Covent Garden
Cold radiators, a boiler that keeps losing pressure or a leaking valve? Our heating engineers find the fault and fix it, from bleeding and balancing a system to replacing valves, pumps and radiators.

The short answer
What do heating repairs cover?
Heating repairs cover faults in a wet central heating system: radiators that won’t heat, leaking valves and pipework, pressure loss, noisy or failed pumps, sludge build-up and hot water problems. Any work on a gas appliance, including the boiler itself, must by law be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Signs you need us
- Radiators cold at the top, the bottom or all over
- Boiler pressure dropping and needing topping up
- Leaks or green corrosion around radiator valves
- Banging, gurgling or whistling pipes
- No hot water, or hot water that runs cold quickly

FAQs
Heating repairs: your questions answered
Why is my radiator cold at the top?
A radiator that is warm at the bottom but cold at the top usually has trapped air. Bleeding it with a radiator key, with the heating off, normally fixes it. If you have a combi or sealed system, check the boiler pressure afterwards and top it up if it has dropped below the level in your manual.
Why does my boiler keep losing pressure?
Steady pressure loss on a sealed heating system usually means a leak somewhere: a weeping radiator valve, a joint under the floor, or the boiler’s pressure relief valve. A faulty expansion vessel can also cause it. If you’re topping up more than occasionally, the system needs checking before the leak causes damage.
Do you repair gas boilers?
Work on any gas appliance, including boilers, must legally be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and you should always ask to see their ID card. Call us and describe the fault. We repair radiators, valves, pipework and system faults, and we’ll tell you straight away if the problem is on the gas side.
What is a power flush and do I need one?
A power flush pumps cleaning chemicals through the heating system at high flow to remove sludge and corrosion debris. It can help if radiators are cold at the bottom, the system is noisy, or a new boiler is going in. It isn’t always needed; a gentler chemical flush is sometimes enough.
