Emergency plumber · Covent Garden & Central London
24/7 emergency plumber in Covent Garden
Water coming through the ceiling at 2am needs a plumber, not a voicemail. Our emergency plumbers cover Covent Garden and Central London 24 hours a day for leaks, burst pipes, overflowing toilets and anything else that can’t wait until morning.

The short answer
What does an emergency plumber do?
An emergency plumber deals with faults that are causing damage now or leave a property without a working toilet or water supply: burst and leaking pipes, failed valves, overflowing cisterns, blocked toilets and leaks through ceilings. The first job is always to stop the water; the second is a lasting repair.
Signs you need us
- Water dripping through a ceiling or light fitting
- A burst or split pipe, or a joint spraying water
- A toilet that won’t stop running or is overflowing
- No water at all, or very low pressure suddenly
- A stopcock or valve that won’t turn off

FAQs
Emergency plumber: your questions answered
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Anything causing damage now or leaving you without basic facilities: a burst pipe, water through a ceiling, an overflowing toilet, no water, or a leak near electrics. If water is near sockets or light fittings, switch the electricity off at the consumer unit, close the stopcock and call us on 020 3670 7648.
Where is my stopcock likely to be?
In most London homes the internal stopcock is under the kitchen sink. Otherwise check a basement or cellar, beside the front door, in an airing cupboard or under the stairs. Flats sometimes have their valve in a communal cupboard or riser. Turn it clockwise to close. We can help you find it by phone.
Do you charge more at night or weekends?
We give you a free quote before any work starts, whatever the time, so you know the cost before you agree to anything. Tell us what’s happening when you call and we’ll explain the price for your job. You won’t find extra charges added to the invoice afterwards.
Will you deal with my insurer?
We can provide a written description of the fault, the cause, the work done and photographs, which is what most home insurers ask for when you make an escape-of-water claim. Check your policy first, as some insurers want you to use their own approved contractor or call them before work starts.
