Commercial drainage in Covent Garden
A blocked drain in a restaurant on a Saturday night or an office on a Monday morning costs money by the minute. We look after drains for Covent Garden’s restaurants, bars, shops, offices and residential blocks, with 24/7 callouts and planned maintenance to stop blockages happening.

The short answer
What is commercial drainage?
Commercial drainage covers the unblocking, cleaning, inspection, repair and maintenance of drains serving businesses and multi-occupancy buildings. Kitchens produce fat, oil and grease that coats pipes; busy washrooms see heavy use; and shared runs serve many units. Planned jetting and CCTV inspections prevent most emergency callouts.
Signs you need us
- Kitchen sinks and floor gullies slow to drain
- Grease traps that need emptying more often

FAQs
Commercial drainage: your questions answered
Can you work outside our opening hours?
Yes. We work 24 hours a day, so we can unblock or maintain drains before you open, after you close or overnight. For restaurants, bars and shops in Covent Garden that usually means no lost trade. Tell us your hours when you call and we’ll arrange a time that suits.
How often should restaurant drains be jetted?
It depends on how much cooking you do, what you cook and how well your grease management works. Busy commercial kitchens often benefit from jetting every few months. We can inspect your drains on camera, see how quickly fat is building up, and recommend a schedule based on what we find.
Are restaurants legally responsible for grease in drains?
Yes. Under the Water Industry Act 1991 it’s an offence to put anything into a public sewer that interferes with its flow, and fat, oil and grease is a major cause of sewer blockages. Food businesses are expected to manage FOG, typically with grease traps, good kitchen practice and regular drain maintenance.
Do you work for managing agents and landlords?
Yes. We clear and maintain drains in residential blocks, mixed-use buildings and offices, and can provide notes and CCTV footage of what we found and fixed. That helps agents report to freeholders and leaseholders, and decide who is responsible for shared runs. Call us to discuss your buildings.
