Holborn is mainly commercial. Barristers’ chambers in the Inns of Court, solicitors’ offices along Chancery Lane, jewellery workshops in Hatton Garden and large office blocks on High Holborn and Kingsway make up much of it, with mansion flats and residential conversions in between. Most of the area is in the London Borough of Camden, but the eastern edge around Holborn Circus falls within the City of London. We cover both sides of that boundary.

The building stock spans several centuries.
